I designed the logo and identity for Quiet Earth, an environmental organisation aiming to encourage others to look after the planet and each other. Quiet Earth is a contemporary organisation letting people’s voices be heard in a bid to change the world.
People talking helps engage ideas and make a difference. I decided to focus the logo on the concept of speech to convey this fact. The speech bubble also acts as a “Q” to emphasise the initials for Quiet Earth. The “E” is inside the bubble to symbolise the world’s wellbeing being in our control so we need to talk about it and work together in order to make a difference.
In branding and promotional material, I continued the concept of speech by using speech bubbles to show images and text. This aided the brand image, making the bubble instantly recognisable as Quiet Earth.
